About Academics Council, IIT (BHU)
The Academics Council is an Institute level faculty-student body at IIT BHU. It consists of 2 Faculty Coordinators and 18+ students primarily focused on the holistic development of 8000+ students on campus. The Academics Council works to help students of all years with the various academic problems that they face throughout their college life. In order to tackle these problems the Academics Council has flagship initiatives like - 1. Noteflix - noteflix is a website which has the collection of notes, previous year questions, assignments of 100+ courses collected by the Academics Council for the benefit of students. 2. Remedial Classes - To help freshers who find themselves facing difficulties academically, we organise the remedial classes for all courses of first year in which seniors who excelled in the subject come to mentor their juniors. 3. Future Career Opportunities- Conducts guidance sessions on higher studies and career pathways, including GATE, CAT, UPSC, and other competitive examinations. Provides preparation resources, last-minute strategy sessions, and insights from seniors and alumni to help students navigate their career goals effectively. 4. Acing Midsems - College exams are unlike any previous exams most students have given. Some students may find it excessively tough to adapt to this and face excessive tension and stress. In these sessions we call seniors who have performed phenomenally in the previous semesters to share a few tips and tricks with the juniors to help them excel academically. Over the span of last 2 years we have conducted 25+ sessions and workshops, with recordings available on youtube.
