The company has a licensed capital of US$500 million and a fully paid-up capital of US$149.25 million, divided into 248.75 million shares with a nominal value of US$0.60 per share. The company specializes in the production of nitrogen-based fertilizers, primarily granular urea (46.5%) as its main final product. It also produces anhydrous ammonia as an intermediate product, with surplus ammonia utilized in the production of granular ammonium sulphate. AlexFert operates an integrated industrial complex consisting of three main plants. The Ammonia Plant has a production capacity of 1,200 tons per day and uses natural gas as feedstock. Production began in November 2006, and the plant is licensed by UHDE (thyssenkrupp). The Urea Plant, also operational since November 2006, has a capacity of 1,750 tons per day and uses Stamicarbon technology for urea production. The Ammonium Sulphate Plant, licensed by IPL, began operations in June 2013 with a capacity of 720 tons per day. The company’s ownership structure is led by Valmore Holding and its affiliates, which hold a majority stake of 75.33%.
