About Allivia
ALLIVIA turns pressure into data. We design flexible fiber-optic sensor patches that map contact pressure in real time, with a precision and form factor no existing technology can match. Built on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) technology embedded in a soft, biocompatible host, our patches deliver continuous, high-resolution pressure maps on surfaces that move, bend and breathe. Our first application transforms prosthetic socket fitting — today still largely guided by patient feedback and clinician experience — into a data-driven process, dramatically improving comfort, reducing fitting iterations, and opening the door to adaptive sockets. Beyond healthcare, the same sensing platform extends to robotic grasping, human-machine interaction, and any critical interface where understanding contact forces unlocks new performance. ALLIVIA is a deeptech spin-off from the Institut Polytechnique de Paris ecosystem, founded by a team combining medical, industrial and academic expertise in optics, mechanics and product engineering.
