About Alpha Iota Gamma at the University of Pennsylvania
Founded in 2009, Alpha Iota Gamma is the first professional healthcare fraternity at the University of Pennsylvania. First and foremost, the brothers of Alpha Iota Gamma are diverse. We come from all four schools at Penn, and our interests in healthcare include clinical medicine, nursing, and healthcare business. We are expanding to other universities, including the University of Washington at St. Louis. Our brothers are accomplished; we are campus leaders, researchers, performing artists, and community activists. What unites us as a brotherhood is the desire to improve and impact the lives of others through healthcare. Alpha Iota Gamma offers its members many philanthropic opportunities, academic events, and social events. Philanthropy and community service is large part of ΑIΓ; we have partnered with local non-profit organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House, CHOP, and Manna, to provide opportunities for brothers to give back. We hold many academic events over the year, including research talks, study breaks, and graduate school application panels hosted by alumni. However, most importantly, Alpha Iota Gamma offers a lifelong brotherhood with some of the most driven, compassionate, and loyal students on campus. We are proud of the community and family that is Alpha Iota Gamma. Mission: Alpha Iota Gamma serves as a foundation for professional growth among men and women dedicated to forging careers in healthcare.
