About AM Turbines GmbH
We use a proprietary additive manufacturing technology that enables the production of quasi-single-crystal turbine components—something no other company can currently achieve. Our process is based on a layer-wise, orientation-controlled melting approach that allows us to define and optimize the crystal structure of each region of a part during printing. Instead of relying on conventional directional solidification, we precisely manage thermal gradients, solidification fronts, and microstructural evolution at every layer. This gives us unprecedented control over grain orientation, creep resistance, and high-temperature performance. By adjusting crystallographic alignment locally, we can tailor mechanical behavior to real engine load cases. The result is faster, more flexible, and significantly more cost-effective production of high-performance components with superior material quality compared to traditionally cast single crystals. We utilize a customized laser powder bed fusion system that, combined with our process knowledge and own software, is able to generate these structures.
