Atlantic Lifesciences Ltd is the leading sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Ghana that specializes in the production of various sterile dosage forms including Large Volume Parenterals (intravenous infusions), Eye/Ear/Nasal drops, Small volume Parenterals, Biological products, Vaccines and Inhalational anaesthetic solutions. All products are manufactured in accordance with the current codes of WHO CGMP. Our manufacturing facilities are routinely inspected by the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority. Our Large Volume Parenteral manufacturing unit has state-of-the-art clean room facilities with two Rommelag Blow-Fill-Seal machines installed with combined capacity of 200,000 bottles per day. Our Ophthalmic production line also has an installed capacity of 264,000 vials per day. This makes Atlantic Lifesciences one of the largest sterile manufacturing companies in West Africa with high production capacities. The company was incorporated on 2nd February 2017 and is located at Larkpleku in the Ningo-Prampram District of the Greater-Accra region in Ghana. Atlantic was established under the Government’s One-District, One-Factory (1D1F) program as the 107th 1D1F factory, with support from Ghana Exim Bank. The manufacturing facility was commissioned on April 22, 2022 by the President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo. Atlantic Lifesciences is a sister company of Pharmanova Ltd and a registered member of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Ghana (PMAG). The company currently employs over 500 employees. Atlantic is also a member of the African Vaccine Manufacturing Initiative (AVMI) and the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturing Network (DCVMN). Atlantic Lifesciences Ltd has built and equipped a state-of-the-art vaccine facility for fill & finish of vaccines (such as Tetanus-Diphtheria, HPV and Hepatitis B Paediatric vaccines), as well as sera products (such as Snake venom antiserum) via technology transfer.
