About Banasthali Vidyapith - FMS - WISDOM
Banasthali Vidyapith, established in year 1935 when the concept of girls education virtually did not exist. Started with 6 students, today it stands as the 'world's largest fully residential university for women'. The university is known globally for its distinct educational ideology of 'holistic development & character building' rooted in Indian culture, creating synthesis of spiritual values of the east and the scientific achievements of the west. Banasthali has evolved a five-fold educational programme “Panchmukhi Shiksha” that focuses on physical, practical, aesthetic, moral and intellectual aspects of learning to develop an integrated and balanced personality in the students. Just as Banasthali is special, so is its Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) WISDOM which was established in year 1996. With over 2400 students enrolled in B.Com, BBA, BSW, MBA, MBA Integrated, M.Com. and Ph.D. it is India’s biggest all women’s management institute. The institute has strong focus on developing holistic personalities having critical thinking abilities & problem solving skills. FMS alumnae are working in top organizations in India and abroad like Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Accenture, IBM, VISA, Bank of America, Nokia, Hero Group, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda, Barclays, Capital IQ, ZS associates, World Wildlife Fund for Nature, Metro Cash and Carry, TCS, Tech Mahindra etc. The FMS-WISDOM also has an Atal Incubation Centre powered by NITI Aayog, Centre for Corporate Governance by NFCG, Centre for Promotion of Indian Ethos, Chair by ICICI Bank and Chair by State Bank of India to promote women’s education and research.
