Becoming is an adventurous research studio messing with emerging scenarios to reframe our world otherwise, interrogating the real-but-as-yet-unnamed, and the imagined-but-as-yet-not-real to consider dynamic shifts in our society and create the conditions to become otherwise. As a society and a species. We explore transitions through critical inquiry, epistemology, empirical research, interactive technologies, experimental and participatory practices, traversing Speculative and Interactive Design, Social Research, Transition Design and Design Futures, understanding the futures to be a debatable matter of the imagination and object of design implicated social and political positionality, technological affordances and situations in the present. Our aim is to explore present positionality and phenomena vibrating on potential futures in order to reconcile the entanglements between humans, technology, politics, industry and the biosphere.
