About Black Solicitors Network
Established in 1995, the Black Solicitors Network is the primary voice of black solicitors in England and Wales; committed to achieving equality of access, retention and promotion of black solicitors. We are the leading body that represents the interests of the UK's existing and aspiring black solicitors embrace and welcome people from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds. Our principal aims are to: - Represent Black solicitors, and ensure that their views are articulated and heard within the profession, The Law Society, media and other relevant bodies. - Promote equality and challenge discrimination within the profession. We publish the Diversity League Table of the largest legal firms and chambers in the UK. We also host the annual Diversity Legal Awards, recognising and promoting; equality, diversity and inclusion, across the legal profession. - Provide pastoral care and support. - Deliver practical educational seminars for all members. - Provide and promote relevant work opportunities, including via our Jobs Board. - Provide and promote a relevant networking and social events. Regional information is also shared via our BSN City Group and BSN North pages. Our partners: The BSN works with a range of partners and associates which include; corporate law firms, banks, and government institutions, here and abroad. Additionally we also work with smaller niche companies and organisations to ensure that a wide range of members' needs can be supported at any one time. As a network we feel it is important to continue to meet and engage with new and diverse organisations, and so always invite and welcome approaches from potential new partners.
