About BridgeTTe Project
BridgeTTe is a collaborative project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme. The BridgeTTe project addresses key gaps in the European innovation landscape, especially the disconnect between academia and industry. These gaps limit collaboration and prevent the full use of each sector’s potential. Challenges include low engagement among innovation actors, weak entrepreneurial skills in academia, and poor alignment of research with market needs and trends. To tackle this, BridgeTTe combines talent scouting, advanced AI tools, university-based prototyping, market validation, and capacity-building. It promotes collaboration through joint activities with business experts, industry clusters, and top innovation hubs. The project connects two leading Central European universities, Brno University of Technology (BUT) and Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), with enterprise-linked innovation catalysts (JIC, ADDSEN) and global innovation infrastructures (WONDERFUND), helping bring local research to global markets. A core focus is on empowering sciencepreneurs, especially women, to turn academic research into deep-tech start-ups and spin-offs. Through strategic academia-business networks, BridgeTTe nurtures the next generation of innovation leaders. Its ecosystem-building methodology will be shared across the EU, serving as a model for emerging innovation regions, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. The project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation program under grant agreement No 101213091.
