About Burl Aerospace
Today’s helicopters are capable, but fundamentally constrained. They can’t land just anywhere. They can’t lift extremely heavy payloads. They can’t fly across continents, and they certainly can’t take-off from a suburban driveway. These constraints are a performance ceiling. Burl Aerospace exists to break it. We are redesigning rotorcraft from first principles: separating lift from power systems, rethinking rotor efficiency, and developing adaptive systems that eliminate the aerodynamic and spatial compromises that hinder today's helicopters and contemporary ‘air taxi’ concepts. The result is not an incremental improvement – it is an entirely different class of machine. A rotorcraft that launches from almost anywhere with open sky. A rotorcraft that moves payloads previously reserved for cranes and cargo aircraft. A rotorcraft compact enough to deploy rapidly, yet capable enough to matter at scale—civilian, emergency response, and defense applications. A rotorcraft that extends range, efficiency, and access far beyond today’s air taxi fantasies. Not science fiction. Not future speculation. Just existing technology, reengineered without compromise.
