About CARE Bangladesh
CARE started its operations in Bangladesh (previously East Pakistan) in 1949. CARE Bangladesh amplifies the voices of the poor and marginalized in ways which influence public opinion, development practice, and policy at all levels - drawing on grassroots experience and relationships with civil society, government, and the private sector. CARE Bangladesh targets three of the poorest and most vulnerable groups in Bangladesh in order to achieve sustainable social, economic and political impacts on their lives: women and girls, the rural extreme-poor, and marginalized urban populations.
