About Care For Women
Care For Women is a registered charity that registered charity is the first of its kind within Canada, focusing on providing practical support for mothers who find themselves without anyone when they bring their baby home. Currently supporting mother’s in Langley, Chilliwack, Mission and Abbotsford (British Columbia, Canada). We do this by providing practical help with prepared meals, professional cleaning, transportation to appointments & one-on-one dedicated mentorship in the home all at ZERO COST to the mother. We believe that motherhood was never meant to be done alone. Yet too many mothers of newborns feel isolated, disconnected, and overwhelmed by the challenges within motherhood. Mothers are vulnerable during the postpartum period, and when they lack the social support they need it increases the risks of depression, anxiety, and attachment challenges that can impact a growing baby and their families for the long term. Care For Women is here to change that. We exist to come alongside mothers in the intense first weeks of their newborns’ lives, surrounding them with emotional, physical and tangible support they need to thrive. We believe supporting mothers means supporting babies for a healthier and stronger community.
