The designer, who has started to draw jewelry in 1993, has been one of the most important jewelers of the brazilian Market. Carla Amorim was born in Brasilia, at 27 started to criate her own jewelry. She has become one of the main designers in the country, having na importante clients’ listing. Her creative work is based on nature, religion and architecture, bringing up Oscar Niemeyer’s genious lines of work. The brand has earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants with an unique and delicate finishing, besides being worried with sustainability and social impact. The brand, with stores in Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Recife, invests on all its suppliers certification, working with raw materials which are not part of the conflict zone, diamonds certified by the Kimberly Protocol. Since 2002, Carla Amorim has been promoting annually the Alquimia action. In this ocasion, clientes can use their gold from used jewelry as part of the payment in the designer’s new pieces. The brand receives 18K gold, including jewels from Other brands, such as clasps and broken pieces. After analysing, the weight of the gold is calculated to generate the credit, the upcycling action reinforces the importance of sustainability and consumer awareness. In 2019, Carla Amorim developed a partnership with Drops of Amazon, the Amazonia Pendant. The piece is done with a drop of water from Alter do Chão’s Aquifer, reinforcing the importance of the aquifer’s preservation which is considered one of the biggest in the world. The sale of this pendant has its income aimed to the project and the construction of deep wells bringing life quality to the "ribeirinhos’" who are the Amazon Forest guardians. The Project raises funds with the sale of these products and part of the earnings are destined to take drinkable water to the "ribeirinhos" who live in the Amazon. Carla Amorim reinforces herself as a pioneer on the use of the Minas’ gems with social responsability.
