China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) was founded on 27 June 2014 in Beijing as an industrial and non-profit social organization. Its membership is composed of enterprises, institutions, social organizations and individuals who are engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, teaching, testing, certification and standardization of PV products, equipment and related materials. Mission of the CPIA: (1) Observe the Constitution, laws, regulations, national policies and social ethics; (2) protect the legitimate rights and interests of its members and the photovoltaic industry as a whole, and advocate self-discipline and uphold fair competition; (3) improve industrial standards and foster a favorable environment for development; (4) facilitate technological exchange and cooperation, and improve indigenous innovation capability; (5) serve as a bridge between the government and the business, and provide services to businesses, industries and government; (6) promote international exchange and cooperation, and provide coordinated responses to trade disputes.
