About Connell & Wiener
Connell & Wiener LLP was formed in 1997 by Bill Connell and Paul Wiener, two New York lawyers with significant international banking practices, who desired the flexibility to design their practices around the needs of their clients. Our practice involves all aspects of domestic and cross-border secured and unsecured lending transactions, including acquisition finance, asset-based and working capital facilities, on-shore and off-shore project finance transactions, letter of credit transactions, leasing transactions, and trade and commodity finance matters. Our work involves representing financial institutions as sole lenders in bilateral facilities and as agent banks in other transactions, as well as representing banks and other financial institutions in their review of syndicated loan transactions offered by other institutions. We also frequently represent lenders to hedge funds. The complexity of the transactions in which we are involved varies from straightforward, unsecured loans to deal structures involving multiple tiers of senior and subordinated debt and third party intercreditor arrangements. Our clients include domestic and foreign banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions. We also represent institutions in derivatives transactions and distressed debt trades.
