In April 2026, the system received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for stroke motor rehabilitation, the first BCI worldwide with this designation for this indication. Three patients have been successfully implanted; the platform is also being evaluated for epilepsy (Mayo Clinic), paralysis (UMC Utrecht) and treatment-resistant depression.
