About Cultúr Migrant Centre
Cultúr is a community organisation that uses a community work approach to work with migrants, people in International Protection Process, and refugees promoting equal rights & opportunities to develop an intercultural County Meath. We can support people who are facing racism, social exclusion, experiencing or at risk of poverty, living in isolated communities, women from any background, having difficulty with the English language, or from an ethnic minority. Our mission is to empower members of ethnic minorities who are at risk of poverty, racism, and exclusion, to participate in a community work approach to bring about social change for the benefit of the whole community. Our vision is a community where all people are welcome, and our diversity is celebrated as a strength. We seek to achieve social change by addressing the root causes of inequality and injustice by using critical analysis of society, power within society, and the structural nature of inequality and injustice. The manner in which this is achieved is through the participation of migrants who are affected by policies and helping them get involved in the decision-making process on issues that affect them in order to formulate or influence policy change.
