The Demoucelle Parkinson Charity provides funding for the world's most promising research projects in order to help find a cure for Parkinson’s disease within the next decade. It was created by senior management professionals Patrick and Anne-Marie Demoucelle following his shock diagnosis aged just 40 and works closely with partner organisation The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research as well as other Parkinson’s charities, socially-engaged companies, patients, their families, friends and colleagues to deliver on its vision. Parkinson’s disease is the world’s fastest-growing neurodegenerative condition, already affecting millions of people around the world and 40 000 people in Belgium. With an aging population to care for and people needing (and wanting) to remain in the workforce for longer, it is vital that we find a cure for this debilitating illness.
