Emerge Story Company is a startup that provides media and entertainment consulting services. Our focus is on story development and training writing talent for the film and television industry. Our mission is to empower and support emerging African storytellers in their efforts to create authentic stories for the big and small screens. We aim to bring the global audience closer to the rich and diverse African experiences by championing diverse African stories, talents, and opportunities worldwide. Our flagship program, the annual Emerge Story Conference (International Women's Month Edition), started in 2022. It has been a huge success, with over 10 industry leaders delivering exclusive masterclasses. So far, the program has trained over 200 African female writers from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and Namibia. One of our alumni is currently finalizing funding for her feature film, while two others have screened their works at film festivals, including AFRIFF.
