The Ethiopian Youth for Peace and Development (EYPD) formerly known as the Ethiopian Youth Dialogue for Peace Association (EYDPA) is a non-partisan, non-governmental, and non-profit youth-led organization committed to community and youth-led action that advances sustained peace, resilience, livelihoods and long-term development. EYPD’s work is organized around four interconnected strategic pillars that reflect its identity, and community-rooted approach. These pillars bring together EYPD’s peacebuilding, advocacy, humanitarian, livelihood, gender and climate-related work into a clear program framework. 1.Peacebuilding, Dialogue and Social Cohesion: Conflict resolution and prevention, social cohesion, YPS/WPS, digital peace and countering harmful narratives. 2.Youth voice, Civic Participation and Policy Advocacy: Youth leadership, policy influence, civic engagement. 3.Humanitarian Response, Protection and Community Resilience: Crisis response support, protection outreach, service linkage, SRH, preparedness and resilience-building. 4.Economic Empowerment, and Climate Resilience: Youth and women’s economic empowerment, livelihoods, unpaid care, green enterprise, climate resilience and environmental protection Our Mission We equip young people to lead advocacy, sustained peace, resilience, livelihoods, and community-led action.
