About Fabrika Karpos AD
Karposh Factory was established on February 11, 1948, by decision of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, as an enterprise of republican importance. It was founded in the settlement of Gjorche Petrov and named after the national hero Hristijan Todorovski Karposh. Initially, four old buildings were adapted into production facilities, and two bridge cranes (5 and 10 tons) were installed the same year. The factory began producing concrete columns for viticulture and concrete accessories. The main raw material, sand, was sourced from the Lepenec River, which was evaluated as the highest quality among the rivers in former Yugoslavia. Today, Karposh Factory is one of the largest companies in Macedonia, engaged in construction, design, and production of ready-made prefabricated concrete elements, including columns, beams, transmission line poles, utility poles, shafts, and other concrete products. In 2015, the company developed the new residential complex “Aleksandrija” in Vlae, Skopje - a modern neighborhood offering quality construction, excellent infrastructure, and various types of apartments designed for comfortable and contemporary living. In 2022, Karposh Factory opened its newest production facility in the municipality of Ilinden. This modern plant is dedicated to the production of prefabricated concrete elements manufactured according to the highest technical and construction standards, further strengthening the company’s production capacity and supporting the development of the modern construction industry in the region.
