Fair-Play product designers noted that most people have a natural 100-degree range of motion that allows us to view scores comfortably. More extreme angles spell eye and neck strain—not the kind of experience you want for fans cheering on your team at the championship game. That observation led to Fair-Play’s development of the outdoor and indoor LED digit. It’s the only digit in the industry with a 100-degree horizontal viewing angle to provide exceptional readability. Fair-Play customers are a loyal—and vocal—bunch. And because our design and production facilities are housed under one roof in Hazelwood, Missouri, we’re able to respond quickly to their suggestions. Some of our best innovations over the years were inspired by customer feedback, such as: A three-step waterproofing process to protect outdoor digits from the damaging effects of water and humidity Wide amber digits (the widest you’ll find) for excellent readability during day and night games Digits up to three feet high for today’s super-sized playing fields An auto-dimming feature to adjust the display to changing light conditions Wireless scoreboard controls using spread spectrum technology to stop interference from cell phones and other electronic devices in its tracks Accent and trim tape to organize scoring statistics…standard on a Fair-Play board, an upcharge from other scoreboard manufacturers.
