It was established in 1999 by a then-employee of Accenture. The core solution was developed and implemented at a few brokerage companies in the Oman Securities Market by Accenture between 1997 and 1999. Accenture then decided to sell its software portfolio in the region and sold that brokerage suite of solutions to FIT’s founder, Mr. Nasser Abu Shoaib. FIT has grown gradually serving the Oman market, brokers in the country (approx. 90% Oman market share), in addition to some of the largest brokerage houses in their respective GCC countries: The solution has therefore been proven in 4 GCC countries. The company has also performed work for the Muscat Securities Market, Dubai Financial Market, Markets Authorities and currently has a number of additional opportunities with the other market authorities.
