About FlexEnable
FlexEnable develops liquid crystal and organic transistor technologies on plastic enabling 3D curved active optics for AI and AR glasses and flexible displays. We help AI/AR glasses look and feel like normal glasses Our ultra-thin and lightweight adaptive dimmers and tunable lenses are a core component for AR/AI smart glasses delivering clear virtual images in all light environments, improving user experience and reducing eye strain. They are a fraction of the weight of conventional optical components and can be shaped to the curved surfaces that modern glasses require. FlexEnable’s engineers design and make lens prototypes in our prototyping facility, collaborating closely with leading AI and AR companies. We then provide OEM partners with a low-risk route to mass production through our supply chain. Our OTFT backplanes enable rugged flexible displays FlexEnable’s FlexiOM™ organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) materials and backplane technology are used today to manufacture ePaper displays that are rugged, thin, lightweight and flexible. Final flexible EPD display modules, branded DKE FLEX, are manufactured and sold by partner DKE. Deep technical expertise FlexEnable holds around 450 patents and patent applications globally for OTFT and LC cell materials, processes and architectures that are already redefining where active surfaces are used – from AI and AR glasses to flexible displays.
