About Geelong Medical & Health Group
Myers Street Family Medical Practice Geelong was opened in April 2004 and was the amalgamation of numerous smaller private and bulk-billing practices around the community. The objective was to bring a diverse range of experienced local GP’s and allied health professionals together into one common, city centre that boasted high quality, comprehensive healthcare, 8am to 10pm, 7 days a week. The Cottage Medical Centre in Grovedale was established by the Myers Street Family Family Medical Practice in 2009 to provide a much needed medical centre for the people of Grovedale, Waurn Ponds, Belmont, Marshall, Armstrong Creek and the Surf Coast. Situated on Torquay Road, The Cottage Medical Centre underwent a major development in 2013/14 building a new state of the art medical centre which now operates from behind our beautiful 1850’s heritage-listed German cottage. With GPs & Allied health professionals operating from 14 consulting rooms, two bed nurse treatment room, health & fitness studio and pathology services it delivers professional outcomes for patients in a comfortable and modern facility. The completion of Rocksalt Café in late 2014 has added another dimension to the facility. The Cottage Pharmacy began operating in mid 2015 and completes the holistic service our patients receive. Qutis Skin Check Clinic opened 2011 in Yarra Street, Geelong. Originally operating with just one practitioner, we have now expanded offering affordable skin checks to the Geelong region 5 days a week across 6 practitioners. Torquay Walk In Clinic opened in 2011 by Dr Neil Africa. In September 2017 we acquired the clinic on the Surfcoast of Victoria. Torquay Walk In Clinic is open 7 days a weeks and services the Coastal communities along the Great Ocean Road.
