About Get A Life Podcast
The Get-A-Life podcast is all about escaping from cults – in particular, the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, (PBCC) or Exclusive Brethren as they were formerly known. Founded by former USA and Canadian PBCC members Carman, Cheryl, Lane and Richard in 2022, the informal conversation format was an instant hit, and the series has featured both harrowing and heartwarming, humourous and heroic stories of cult escapers, as well as interviews with psychologists, journalists and cult experts. In 2023 UK/Europe and Australia/New Zealand hosting teams came on board, and the podcast is going from strength to strength – becoming an in-depth resource for the media and researchers and quoted in mainstream media. The name and logo of the podcast reflect the intense but exhilarating experience of breaking out of the dark oppressive “box” of mental, physical and spiritual oppression and cultic control, into the sunshine and fresh air of freedom and a new life.
