About Goumbook
Goumbook is the leading social enterprise driving sustainability and climate action across the UAE and MENA region since 2009. Through strategic advisory and programme development, Goumbook enables cross‑sector collaboration on key sustainability priorities, including biodiversity, circularity, water, food systems, climate action, and social equity, catalysing innovation within the region and amplifying it globally. In 2020, Goumbook was proud to conceptualise, and project manage Dubai Can, a campaign by H.H.Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. In 2023, Goumbook launched the MENA Regenerative Agriculture Venture Programme, looking at solutions related to food systems, climate change mitigation & adaptation, carbon sequestration, soil health, water scarcity, desertification, biodiversity loss & food security. In 2023, Goumbook launched the MENA Oceans Summit under the patronage of MOCCAE, and later in December, at COP28, the MENA Oceans Network. MENA Oceans is today a regional initiative in partnership with the UN-UAE, the UN High Level Climate Champions, working to forge cross sectoral, multilateral efforts and accelerate the pace of ocean action in the region.
