Battery Valley: Dunkirk is the heart of the electric battery valley of Hauts-de-France. Container traffic growth: Tripled in ten years, Dunkirk accommodates the world's largest fully loaded container ships, 24/7, without tidal constraints, making it one of the few ports in the Northern European range. Logistical development: Over 400,000 m² of new warehouses built by 2018. Dunkirk has also become a key French player in the logistics of temperature-controlled products (fruits & vegetables, frozen products). Exchanges with the British Isles: Dunkirk offers ferry connections to Great Britain and Ireland for all types of traffic. Overall, Dunkirk's port ecosystem generates an added value of about 3.8 billion euros annually and supports more than 29,000 direct, indirect, and induced jobs. With ongoing projects, we anticipate the creation of an additional 20,000 jobs by 2030, further strengthening our economic and social impact.
