Hoffman Capital is an independent investment firm based in Detroit. I buy small and mid-market businesses — MSPs, telecom, business services, light industrial — and hold them. Not for three years. Not for a "platform exit." Indefinitely. The firm is the antithesis of a typical PE buyer. No fund. No LPs. No strike team flying in from a coastal office. The capital is family money, the operator is me, and my name is on the loan. When we close, I don't hand the business off to a deck of associates. I run it. A few things worth saying out loud: — We've made three acquisitions since 2022. All four are still standing. Metro Wireless (the platform) grew 23% in 2025. — I got fired from every job I had after college — Deloitte, an independent pharmacy, then a boutique consultancy.
