At IDEAL AKE, we have been one of the leading providers of refrigeration and heating equipment for the hospitality, hotel and food retail sectors for 80 years. Together with our partners, customers and more than 350 employees at two production sites in Austria, we develop inspiring solutions of outstanding quality. We impress not only with our broad standard product range, but also with a wide variety of design options that allow us to find the right solution even for individual concepts. Our products are in demand worldwide and are used in hotels, restaurants, bakeries, cafés, butcher’s shops, bars, bistros, shops, commercial kitchens and food retail. They not only make users’ work easier, but also guarantee customers an optimal fresh-food experience. Our success is based on our passion for technology and materials. Our history: It all began on a traditional four-sided farm in Schörihub, a district of Gmunden. From there, sales started throughout Austria and later expanded across Europe. In 1998, AKE was founded after the capacities of the original company had been fully exhausted. IDEAL and AKE shaped refrigeration and heating technology for decades and also achieved success in the US market. In 2012, IDEAL and AKE combined their strengths in development, sales and marketing under one shared brand umbrella, setting a new milestone in customer orientation and service quality. In 2022, NordCap, a long-standing partner, acquired a majority stake in IDEAL Kältetechnik GmbH and, as a result, in AKE Ausseer Kälte- und Edelstahltechnik GmbH.
