IDP is a global and multisectorial company of technical services, founded in 1998 that works in the fields of engineering, environment, architecture and information technology and communication and currently IDP’s headquartered in Sabadell-Barcelona, and has offices in Madrid, Florianópolis, Rio de Janeiro and Belém in Brazil, Lima in Peru, Santiago in Chile and Quito in Ecuador. IDP works in all its areas of performance by BIM (Building Information Modelling), which allows to design, to project, to organize and to direct a digital work construction, integrating all the information in a parametrized, complete, unique and centralized model that shares all the participating agents that will take part during all the buildings life cycle, infrastructure, etc.; from the conceptual design to the maintenance during its useful life. This digital model allows the integration of up to 7 dimensions – the 3 physic ones, time (4th D), cost (5th D), energetic and sustainability analysis (6th D) and the Facility Management systems integration (7th D) – speeding up the decision time and erasing mistakes thanks to a global knowledge of the project through the model. In IDP we consider the investment in R+D+i as a strategic prop, and every year an important percentage of our resources are destined for these works. The projects of R+D+i where it takes part in IDP, seek to create innovative products and services to meet the needs of our customers and society in general, and improve internal management processes that achieve excellence and work efficiency.
