About Immunology of Diabetes Society
The Immunology of Diabetes Society (IDS) is a scientific network of researchers and clinicians, dedicated to understand, predict, prevent and cure type 1 diabetes. Every 18 months, IDS organizes a conference in Europe, North America or Asia/Oceania to unite key players in the T1D field. The major goal of the conference is to bring together basic and translational scientists, pharmaceutical companies and foundations interested in T1D, to share their latest achievements, discuss new developments on mechanisms by which the immune system and pancreas contribute to the development of T1D, and how these new insights can lead to better prediction, prevention and eventually cure of T1D. The upcoming 21st IDS conference will take place in the city of Brisbane, between April 20-24 2026, hosted by Prof. Emma Hamilton-Williams from University of Queensland (Australia).
