About Inverge Studios S.L.
Inverge Studios was born from our passion for creating video games. We met in college, excelling in game jams where we crafted games in 48 hours. After graduating, we decided to join forces and turn our shared passion into a career. In 2016, we began our entrepreneurial journey by developing mobile games, quickly prototyping and releasing polished titles. By late 2017, we had published four games for iOS and Android. In 2018, we aimed higher, starting our first PlayStation 4 project through partnerships with PlayStation Spain and Lanzadera. Transitioning from Unity to Unreal Engine removed many limitations, allowing us to fully unleash our creativity. After 18 months, Effie, a vibrant 3D platformer, launched in June 2019 on PS4, later expanding to Steam, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch with physical editions. In mid-2019, we started Creatures of Ava with Chibig, later collaborating with 11 bit studios in 2020 to expand the project. After years of dedicated effort, Creatures of Ava was released in August 2024 for PC and Xbox Series, included in Gamepass. It earned critical acclaim, winning the Games for Impact award at Gamescom 2024 and being named the third-best Spanish game of the year.
