About Lead Me Back Foundation
The Lead Me Back Foundation is a Zambian nonprofit established in 2021 to advance Quality Education, Good Health and Well Being, and Climate Literacy for vulnerable children and underserved communities. At the core of our education pillar is the Guardian for a Year initiative, currently active in five districts across Zambia. Through this program, we remove barriers to learning by providing vulnerable children with essential school supplies including textbooks, backpacks, shoes, uniforms, and stationery. By addressing material deprivation, we protect dignity, increase school attendance, and improve academic participation. To date, we have delivered over 450,000 school essential donations to vulnerable schools, working in partnership with individual donors, corporate institutions, and the Ministry of Education. Recognizing that learning cannot thrive on an empty stomach, we launched Tummy2Class, a school feeding initiative designed to combat classroom hunger and malnutrition. The program ensures that children receive nutritious meals that support concentration, attendance, and overall wellbeing. To date, over 10,000 meals have been served, strengthening our commitment to holistic education support that addresses both academic and nutritional needs. Under our health pillar, we spearhead Ubumi Care Clinics in rural and underserved communities, providing free medical screenings, consultations, and preventive health services. These outreach clinics complement government efforts by increasing equitable access to essential healthcare services, particularly in areas where health infrastructure remains limited. Through strategic collaboration with individual donors, corporate partners, and government ministries, the Lead Me Back Foundation has impacted thousands of children and families nationwide. Our model integrates education access, nutrition support, preventive healthcare, and climate literacy to create long term community resilience.
