About Lemon Drizzle Recruitment
Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is a specialist construction recruitment agency based in County Durham. Founded by me - Rachel with the lemon cakes - I specialise in white-collar positions across commercial, operational, and technical disciplines, with over 10 years’ experience in the industry. So, why Lemon Drizzle? There’s a story behind the name. You’re probably wondering what lemon cakes have to do with construction, right? It goes back to when I started in recruitment in 2013. My Granny used to bake lemon drizzle cakes for me, and I’d fill my car boot and deliver them to my lovely clients. It just kind of stuck! Shortly before she sadly passed away, she told me I had to take over and keep her legacy going - and I have. It’s taken time to perfect the recipe, but hopefully I’m doing her justice. Now, back to recruitment… Not only do I make (in my opinion!) the best lemon cakes around — I’m also pretty darn good at recruitment. After dreaming about starting my own business for years, I finally took the leap. I’m confident in my ability to seek out and attract the very best talent for my clients. I take a detailed brief and follow it precisely, acting as a true brand ambassador and promoting your business as if I’m part of it. What you’ll get from me is dedication, honesty, loyalty, and total commitment to every assignment. I focus on quality over quantity — I’m not going to fill your inbox with 25% match candidates in the hope that one might stick. I pride myself on being friendly, professional, and easy to work with — with plenty of humour and laughter along the way, because life is too short not to enjoy what we do.
