Preston opened the first facility in 1970 and incorporated the business in 1976. Headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee, today Life Care employs more than 38,000 associates and operates more than 200 skilled nursing, post-acute, Alzheimer’s, and senior living campuses in 27 states. Two foundational principles were at play, then and now: 1. Patients and residents are our highest priority. They deserve superior quality personalized care and exceptional customer service. 2. Our associates are our most valuable resource in serving those entrusted to us and in supporting each other. The goal of each facility is to be a full partner in the continuum of health-care services in the community in which it operates. Our facilities specialize in skilled nursing, post-acute care, as well as inpatient and outpatient therapy in well-equipped, on-site rehabilitation gyms. Additionally, many of our centers provide Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our associates are key to Life Care's growth and commitment to providing quality patient care. We recognize that positive patient and facility outcomes only happen with dedicated, engaged associates who are driven by excellence and compassion for those they serve.
