The Lockwood Group is a family run business and currently has over 300 employees across 5 UK sites. The group’s activities include UK haulage and storage, co-pack and frozen food production. Established in 1965, frozen food business Lockwoods Ltd purchased a number of vehicles to deliver it’s frozen mushy peas. As refrigerated vehicles were a relatively new idea at the time and the peas required chilled deliveries this meant that deliveries were only made during the winter months during the cold weather. This left the delivery vehicles idle during the rest of the year and they were soon put to use delivering goods for a completely new set of customers. Lockwood Haulage are now one of the UK's leading logistics providers. We have a large diverse fleet to ensure that we have the capability of delivering your goods while fulfilling your promises to your customers, with cost effective, quality, sustainable logistics solutions. With over 500,000 sq/ft of modern BRC accredited warehousing Lockwood Haulage have the capacity to cater for all of your handling and storage needs, no matter what your business sector, your cargo or its size. Storage options include variable, high-bay racking to accommodate a number of different pallet heights and footprints, block stacking and bespoke solutions are also available. We store a diverse range of products from within the gardening, food, packaging and healthcare sectors amongst others. Lockwood Contract Packing Solutions are a forward thinking contract packing company offering cost-effective, innovative & timely solutions to your contract packing needs.
