About Mainstreet Capital Limited
Mainstreet Capital Limited (MCL) is a leading investment banking firm focused on providing financial advisory, capital raising and investment management services for private individuals, institutions, governments, and government agencies. Mainstreet Capital is an Issuing House and Fund Manager duly registered and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria. Over the years we have concentrated our efforts on creating long-term value and building relationships with our clients. Our desire is to align our interests with those of our clients who we have served since our inception. The Company was incorporated as Afribank Capital Markets Ltd (ACML) on 22 December 2005 and commenced operations with an initial paid-up share capital of N5 billion to continue the investment banking activities of Afribank International Ltd (Merchant Bankers) following the latter’s merger with Afribank Nigeria PLC. However, following the nationalization of Afribank Nigeria PLC and subsequent change of name to Mainstreet Bank Limited, the name of the Company was again changed to Mainstreet Bank Capital Limited in December 2011. The Bank was sold to Skye Bank Plc in 2014, and by virtue of the its banking license, the Central Bank of Nigeria approved the divestment of its equity interest in MBCL to a group of investors who are seasoned players that have handled big-ticket capital raising, mergers & acquisitions and fixed income transactions in the capital markets to engender new strategies and expand the Company’s business scope. Since its inception, MCL has been well known for its uniquely experienced team of professionals, in addition to its extensive market research which has positioned us to provide strategic investment banking services to enable our clients achieve their goals. Today, MBCL has become MCL maintaining the quality of service and attention to details our customers have since enjoyed, and taking them on a journey with our new moto "Take the right turn"
