About Master Rhonda's Kung Fu San Soo
Kung Fu San Soo is an ancient Chinese martial art based on the 5 family system Tsoi Li Ho Fut Hung (蔡李何佛雄) as opposed to the use of animal forms that you may think of when you hear the name Kung Fu. The purpose of San Soo is to put an end to a fight as quickly as possible. This art originated for use in ancient Chinese military combat, as such, the techniques you learn are intended for real encounters and are not meant for tournaments or competition. Kung Fu San Soo was brought to the United States by Chin Siu Dek, also known as Jimmy H. Woo. In 1959 he opened up his own studio in El Monte, California where he taught the art until his passing in 1991.
