About Motivo
Motivo means reason. Purpose. It's the word that's driven everything we've built since day one. We started in 2010 in a garage with a racing heritage and the mission to help create innovative products. Since then, we've outgrown a few spaces. Today engineering, design, and fabrication all live under one roof in our 80,000-square-foot facility. We believe the best engineering happens when every decision is intentional, every system is considered, and nothing is built without understanding why. That philosophy became what we call the Motivo Method: a systems engineering approach built around four stages — Spark (idea), Create (design), Build (fabrication), and Launch (low-volume production) — that embeds our team inside yours and drives complex hardware from concept to market-ready. You'll find our work across aerospace, autonomous systems, robotics, mobility, and beyond — sometimes hidden in plain sight. We were part of one of the first transitional eVTOLs to go from hover to flight, helping Airbus prove out a concept that has since spawned into a thriving industry. We turned a USAID grant into one of the first self-driving tractors. Both helped set the standard in their industries.
