About MULTIPULM Project
MULTIPULM - Integrated care digital-based interventions for multimorbid patients suffering from chronic respiratory conditions in Brazil, Serbia and Türkiye MULTIPULM, funded by the European Commission, brings together leading universities, research institutes, industry, and healthcare providers to create an integrated digital care ecosystem. The project addresses the unfairly high burden of chronic respiratory conditions (CRDs) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). In these settings, patients often struggle with multiple health conditions simultaneously, including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, and depression. The project validates evidence-based digital tools with 2,750+ patients across Brazil, Serbia, and Türkiye through real-world studies and local capacity building. MULTIPULM tackles fragmented care and health inequalities while providing economic assessments to help policymakers sustain the benefits long-term. This contributes to better Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and creates a model that other LMICs can follow. Funded by the European Union under Grant Agreement number 101226783.
