About Myco4food
The global demand for protein will significantly increase over the coming years, due to the growing global population and the increasing standards of living. We provide a solution that will help counter this giant challenge. We valorize organic residuals from the food and agricultural sector by transforming organic waste products into protein-rich and nutritious food ingredients. We do this by growing edible filamentous fungi on organic waste products in a solid-state fermentation (SSF) process with minimal water and energy consumption. This increases the circularity and sustainability of our food production systems.
