About Napier

Napier is the harvest vessel specialist leading the evolution of the transport of fish for slaughter. In 1995 Bernt Arne Eidesvik and Arnt Eidesvik founded Napier, and developed the movable bulkhead for well boats, which is now an industry standard. After several years of operating the first vessel, Napier built the largest well-boat in the world in 2001, with the new Tauranga. And in 2008, after an extensive research and development phase with Mowi, Napier rebuilt Tauranga into a harvest vessel. In 2019 and 2020 we received three new vessels, Taupo, Taupiri, and Taumar. In 2025 the world's largest and most advanced vessel Tauroa market another milestone for our company when she was delivered. Her sister Tautiki followed in 2026, and the fleet has a combined loading capacity of closer to 3000 tons of salmon or trout per day from Norwegian fish farms. The 7th vessel Tauriko is under construction at Freire Shipyard in Vigo/Spain, and she will yet again move the limits of innovation in the high end capacity harvest vessel segment, when she delivers towards the end of 2027. With a strong focus on fish welfare, the environment, biosecurity and R&D, we strive to progress the concept of pen-side harvest further every day.
