Thanks to its strong portfolio of 14 airline partners, passengers can choose from over 80 direct destinations and more than 300 onward connections worldwide. The Airport contributes more than £1bn in GVA annually to the regional economy and around 3,500 people are employed on the Airport site. More than 17,000 jobs are supported through the business’ supply chain. The Airport has received international recognition for its outstanding passenger services, with 99% of travellers passing through security in under 10 minutes. It has also become only the second UK airport to be acknowledged for its commitment to improving accessibility for passengers. The Airport is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2035. In 2025, the business achieved a 100% score in the annual GRESB assessment, ranking first out of 650 participating organisations and reinforced its position as a Sustainability Sector Leader.
