Founded in 1953 by father R.W Timm, CSC (PhD), Notre Dame Debating Club is nicknamed “The Father of Debating,” as it planted the seeds for the flourishing debating culture in Bangladesh. Every year, we cohort new debaters and make new teams. It brings in a fresh group of passionate debaters every year and organizes them into new teams to provide a platform for learning and competition. It actively contributes to the national debating scene by organizing numerous competitions, including the renowned “NDDC Nationals” and publishing the annual magazine "Dwairath" each year .
