About Nova Lux Orbital
Nova Lux Orbital is building Europe's sovereign orbital AI compute platform. Today, 98% of satellite data captured in orbit is lost. It is never downlinked, never analysed, never used. By 2030 more than 70,000 satellites will be in orbit generating exabytes of data every day, almost all of which disappears before reaching the ground. NLO processes satellite data directly in orbit. Our NLO-Mini satellite carries 41.4 PFLOPS of inference and downlinks only the resulting insights. Customers buy processed intelligence per TB across four service tiers: Earth observation, SAR and maritime intelligence, weather and climate, defence and space situational awareness. Answers from orbit, delivered in seconds, not GPU-hours. The category arrived in May 2026. SpaceX's Form S-1 filed with the US SEC confirmed orbital AI compute as a registered investment category, cited €2.2 trillion of AI infrastructure TAM, and validated the architectural thesis NLO has already designed. Their defence-grade network Starshield is, in their own words, "designed specifically for United States Government customers and national security applications". Europe has no sovereign equivalent. NLO closes that gap. Spark, our pathfinder, launches Q1 2028 and will be the first European orbital AI compute satellite in orbit. Forge, the production satellite, reaches launch readiness by end of 2028. A 10-satellite Phase 2 constellation is operational by 2032, expanding to 22 satellites by 2035.
