The National Science & Technology Park (NSTP), a flagship project of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), has been driving Pakistan’s transition to a knowledge-based economy since its establishment in 2019. As the country’s first fully integrated science and technology park, NSTP has become a thriving hub where startups, multinational corporations, and academia converge to shape the future of innovation. Recognized as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in 2021 and a Special Technology Zone (STZ) in 2024, NSTP stands at the forefront of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. Spanning over 71 acres, it offers world-class infrastructure, advanced R&D facilities, and an ecosystem designed to generate high-tech employment and strengthen Pakistan’s position in the global tech landscape. Today, NSTP is home to 100+ resident companies, including 27+ global leaders such as ABB, Hytera, Rapidev, Hitit, HATO Agricultural Lighting, Kodifly, and Turkish Aerospace Industries, all of whom are leveraging the intellectual capital and research strength of NUST. Through its incubation programs, Hatch 8 and Cube 8, NSTP empowers entrepreneurs and innovators, enabling startups to scale and secure investments from leading international venture capital firms such as Tokopedia, DG Daiwa Ventures (DGDV), Mantis VC, HOF Capital, Palm Drive Capital, Atlas Ventures, and Boost VC. Building on its momentum, NSTP has launched the Center for Emerging Technologies (CEMTECH) to accelerate research and application of AI technologies. Additionally, the development of One IT Towers will add 200,000 sq. ft. of premium space dedicated to IT companies, further expanding the park’s capacity to serve as Pakistan’s innovation powerhouse.
