Koraa means our interconnected journey. Together we celebrate the craft, heritage and purpose of the products we create and curate. Going full circle from the hands of our artisans to yours, we bring you global goods that's good for the people + planet ✌️🌍 We are guided by the principles of fair trade and source products from fair trade producer groups, NGOs and small scale, rural workshops. From Tibetan exiles to slum communities, our craft producers work to empower their respective communities by putting people before profits. We are proud that we can contribute to the sustainable development of artisan groups in marginalized communities to earn fair wages and become financially self-sufficient. We are also green at heart and strive to use upcycled, recycled and organic materials whenever possible to reduce the environmental impact during the production process. Our Delhi Upcycled Collection for example is sourced from salvaged waste straight from garbage heaps. Better yet, we even recycle poo. Our Elephant Poo Collection is made from the finest elephant dung in India! At OLD YAK BAZAAR, we value the ethical practice as well as the rich tradition and heritage of handcrafted products. In India and Nepal alone, the craft sector employs over 24 million people, accounting for the second largest source of employment in the region. Buying handcrafted products not only keeps many rural and disadvantaged communities and indigenous crafts alive; it also supports the livelihood of millions of skilled artisans that practice their trade which carry thousands of years of history and culture.
