One Step Up LTD. was founded on January 7, 1983 in a Manhattan showroom in the heart of the New York City garment district. A family-run apparel business formed by the Adjmi family, One Step Up was the brainchild of founder and visionary Amin E. Adjmi who saw the untapped opportunity for a junior fashion company at the time. One Step Up broadened its distribution strategy by launching Missy, Plus, Mens, Childrens and Underwear divisions.
